Three years ago, on a scorching viennese summer day in August 2020, grommunio came to life, and our team embarked on a truly ambitious mission. We aimed to develop a transparent open source alternative to Microsoft Exchange that allows you to work efficiently, be creative and communicate successfully. But above all, you need to be in full control of your data at all times and know that it is secure.
Reflecting on our journey, we are proud to say we achieved our goals!
We established Open Source communication and collaboration with Email / Calendar / Contacts / Tasks / Notes / Meet / Chat / Files / Office / MDM. We overcame challenges, proving our competitors wrong, and learned valuable lessons along the way. At grommunio, it’s not just about the tools we create; it’s about how they empower you to work, connect, and express.
